I donā€™t reĀmemĀber when I ļ¬rst heard of Jacob Collier, but I beĀcame an inĀstant fan. I mean, go watch his Tiny Desk Concert, or watch him do one of his Logic sesĀsion breakĀdowns, or hear him disĀsect a Stevie Wonder song with a knowlĀedge about muĀsic thatā€™ll just blow you away. No matĀter which one of those links you click, youā€™ll quickly catch on that Jacob is nothĀing short of a muĀsiĀcal geĀnius.

Djesse Vol. 3 is listed in the Jazz genre, but I canā€™t reĀally tell you what it is. Itā€™s a mix of many difĀferĀent sounds, and pulls it off masĀterĀfully. The alĀbum also hapĀpens to be full of some fanĀtasĀtic colĀlabĀoĀraĀtions with Mahalia, Tori Kelly, Ty Dolla $ign, Kiana LedĆ©, and Daniel Caesar among othĀers.

This is one I defĀiĀnitely recĀomĀmend you lisĀten to in headĀphones.

My faĀvorites:

  1. All I Need (with Mahalia & Ty Dolla $ign)
  2. Running Outta Love (feat. Tori Kelly)
  3. Sleeping on My Dreams
